Tax Day Tea Party in Houston

Well the 15th has come and gone–the Tea Parties were a huge success.  Interestingly the next day the ratings for cable news came out and CNN was hardly even mentioned anywhere in the top 20.  I am thrilled to be a part of this grassroots movement.  Nancy Pelosi said it was an “astro-turf” movement–doesn’t she wish it was?

If you came out to any Tea Party–thank you for doing so and together let’s continue to fight against the ridiculous direction our government is taking our Nation.  I will be back next week with some fresh posts–but for now–at the request of some relatives I will leave you with these pieces of my speech here in Houston.

God Bless and have a great weekend!

your speech at the tea party made me look up your site
i can tell you that people were asking “who is that?”
you created a stir – keep it up – reminded me of Sir Winston’s speeches (I found one on itunes) from 16 oct 1938, entitled, “we must arm” . . . congratulations on a day, speech, outlook – well done!

You were great! Thank you so much for agreeing to speak, Murphy. I’m getting a lot of comments asking about you – are you ready to hire a public relations staff yet?

  6. mklasing Says:

Fishie: if I ever need a pr staff I would definitely hire you–you obviously have a knack for community organizing–hey…wait a minute…that means you could run for President! 🙂 I really enjoyed it–hey, isn’t Kay Bailey exiting the Senate to run for Governor…hmmmmmm……

Katherine and Connie: Thank you for your kind words–I really enjoyed being a part of such a historical day. It was truly amazing. It is my hope that a few people were kicked into action from attending the party and hearing the speakers. It was especially an honor to follow John O’Neill–what a great American!
