A “Willing Suspension of Disbelief” = Liar, Liar, Clinton’s Brain is a Quagmire
In her attack on General Petraeus’s testimony, Senator Hillary Clinton stated as follows:
“Despite what I view is your rather extraordinary efforts in your testimony both yesterday and today,” said Clinton, “I think that the reports that you provide to us really require a willing suspension of disbelief.”
Essentially what she is saying is that the General is committing perjury before the United States Congress. That he is lying about the reality of Iraq and asking Congress to intentionally stop their disbelief that the troop surge has made accomplishments in Iraq. She sounds smart though. She is also implying in her “clinton-like” way that the General knows what he is saying is a lie and that he has to intentionally suspend the truth of what is happening and report happy thoughts so that George Bush won’t look so bad.
It is bad enough that democrats, like Senator Clinton continuously undermine our troops by stating on the world stage that we are losing the war, that we have no point in being there, that Bush lied about everything and even things he hasn’t said yet, and that lives are being wasted. They embolden our enemy with these comments and portray weakness to the rest of humanity. They undercut our President with not even the slightest regard the the dignity of the office he holds and willingly attempts to convince the world that the US is run by an idiot. An idiot who went to Yale and Harvard I might add.
But now, when one of the leaders of these brave men and women comes home with the task of reporting the truth regarding the progress in an area where our congressmen and women would not dare spend more than a couple of hours before hopping on a private jet and coming home to safety, these same know-it-all politicians accuse him of lying or having some political agenda. Shame on you all. I don’t care if his report is good, bad or otherwise, Shame on you Senator Clinton for launching such an accusation based on nothing more than arrogance.
It is all so obvious isn’t it? If the war begins to show progress and if President Bush is able to bring troops home and get everything resolved before November 2008–that might hurt the Democrats. So the last thing Senator Clinton wants is to hear good news from that region.
Troops: Good luck and God Bless and thank you for all you do to protect us, our freedoms, and our way of life. Keep up the good fight and ignore political statements based on nothing more than selfishness and personal gain.
